Hadith of the Week

As Salaam Alaikum Brothers and Sisters,

In order to help us through our week, we will be posting hadiths from Prophet Muhammad (PBUH). Please feel free to keep up with us through the contact page and through our email for future events!

Narated By 'Abdullah bin 'Amr : A person asked Allah's Apostle . "What (sort of) deeds in or (what qualities of) Islam are good?" He replied, "To feed (the poor) and greet those whom you know and those whom you don't know."

First Ten Days of Ramadan: Mercy

nature-02.jpg

Ramadan is broken up into three parts (or Ashras):  the first ten days are for Allah's mercy, the second ten days are for Allah's forgiveness, and the last ten days are for protection from the hell fire.

During the first ten days we should make dua and pray for Allah's mercy on ourselves, our families, friends and communities.  An example of a dua we can recite:

Rab-bigh-fir war-ham wa Anta Khair-ur-Raahimeen. (Surah Al Muminun:118)

Meaning: My Lord! Forgive and have mercy, for You are the Best of those who show mercy!

Let us all continue to make the best out of this Ramadan, Inshallah.
